Bethel Parks Challenge

September 24 - October 31 2022

Did you know that Bethel has 15 village parks and public spaces?

In fall of 2022, the Bethel Conservation Commission and Bethel for All teamed up to create the Bethel Parks Challenge. This self-guided activity encouraged people to explore new parks, trails and public spaces in Bethel.

The Bethel Parks Challenge closed on October 31, 2022. We’re collecting forms and will be distributing prizes soon. Thanks for playing! If you missed out, you can still print a passport and explore on your own. See details of the challenge below.

  1. Grab a “passport” or play online. And grab an “Explore Bethel” map or visit the Explore Bethel park descriptions online for details and descriptions.

    • You can pick up a paper passport at the Library (check indoors or in the envelope on the blue sign) or check other parks signs envelopes. Scroll down to print your own.

    • To play online, snap a selfie at each park you visit. When you’re all done, click “submit passport & prize entry online” above to submit your info and upload your photos. View the passport below to see the parks and bonus point options.

  2. Visit as many parks as you can, and complete bonus activities like hiking on trails, going for a bike ride, or trying out the skate park. Look for a blue sign at each site.

  3. Record your visit by punching your card at each stop or taking a selfie. Find the punch in a plastic sleeve and look for bonus “treasures” in some locations. Complete bonus activities for more points. Please snap the pouch tightly closed and clip back on.

  4. Submit your passport or online form by October 15 (extended to October 31!) to win prizes. Return paper passports to the Library (book drop or indoors) or Town Office (main desk or drop slot).

    • 1-5 points = Bethel sticker

    • 6-10 points = Bethel tote bag (first 30 people to submit)

    • 11+ points = Bethel hat (first 20 people to submit)
